Figured this was performance since removing the starter clutch isn't a repair but a performance upgrade...
Anyone know how to remove the starter clutch plate from these motors? Looks like it has a roll pin that gets hammered in to a notch in the shaft. I already pulled the circlips, removed the springs, and pulled the shoes off. You can see the roll pin on the left side. I tried rotating/pulling the pin out with visegrips but it wouldn't budge.
