Putting a35 70cc airsal on my dirtmate (streetmate with dirt tires)tomos I'm building. I currently am satisfied with throwing a55 heads on a35 engines and get my temps to drop (I've seen 10* drops under load at speed) drill out the holes and it's a great easy mod
Intake mlm 18 and a mikuni vm18 so I have the luxury of tuning slightly rich to lower head temps.
My stock a35s on the mc50 frames hold up for dayz in hot dirt riding, great for trail riding. And great for my sub #100 kids. But won't pull me up steep grades so much.
On the dirtmate i'm doing a 26t front sprocket and a donktastic 45 tooth oem rear( I'm not sure what tomos even made these for) I could change to a 33 later if I'm.not feeling it.
So I might be hitting 30mph at the 9000~ rpm my stock ports airsal tops out at. I'm gearing this way as I don't want to worry about the clutches.
My pipe of choice will be an estoril that I'll mod just a bit to get it to clear the bottom.
From what I've gathered airsal a55 head is the same 44mm bore and a relatively low comp head which is what I'm looking for.
My question. How much better would a55 airsal head cool than a stock a55 head? Is it gonna be worth the $45 or should I just have my a55 head milled properly to match the a35 airsal?
