Currently my 1982 Express NC50 is running good about 27-30mph at WOT. It is currently running STOCK/ OEM parts throughout. I had the top end cleaned and rings replaced, Carb rebuilt, plus muffler cleaned out. I used all OEM parts when fixing. Now iit seems to be choking or 'four-stroking' at wot. It seems to happen at different times.
At first warm up - it starts about 25
At mid riding - it starts about 26-27
After a while riding - it starts at 28-29
It also does this when accelerating down hills. I took out the air filter and it seemed to help (happens now only at top end 28-29) and sometimes non at all. Sometimes pulling off the throttle helps and you can tell theres more in her, but can't get there.
Any one have any experience in the matter?
