hydraulic clutch fluid (3 replies)

anyone have any experience using hydraulic oil as clutch fluid in a wet clutch bike? like puch or v1

so i'm pretty sure atf is just more refined hydraulic oil with more additives and detergents.

what i saw was hydraulic oil being able to withstand much higher temperatures than atf. also with the kevlar lining on hammer clutches, they withstand another 100 degrees f' in silicon oil.

i was looking at like the amsoil hydraulic tractor oil
