Hi All,
I've finally progressed to the point where my exhaust has begun falling apart. It's one of the newer Peugeot Simoni Circuit pipes that appears to be better reinforced than the earlier batches. Nevertheless it failed within 3 months of light use. The baffle fell off. My current plan is to clean up the damaged/cracked joint and reweld it as best as possible.
What I'm wondering is what type of welding method have you found to work best? MIG or Arc? Any additional bracket recommendations for this pipe? Also, I don't like that it spits oil at the exhaust manifold insert. Have any of you successfully welded along this area to create a permanent seal?
Thanks in advance.
